Always enjoy reading your entertaining and humerous blog! I also am always in awe of the photography throughout your blog! i love all the pictures of you and your beloved doggies! You seem to have the most beautiful border collies. I too, share your love and passion for dogs. I cannot imagine my life without my dog. Nothing makes me smile more than coming home after a long hard day of work and being greeted by her happy smiley face and wagging tail.
I am reading your book right now, “for the love of a dog”. I purchased it at Bad Dog Frieda. Great read! Love it!

Sorry to hear that I’m not the only one who regularly slices her paws up. I’ll look into kevlar gloves, what a great idea! And thanks for everyone’s kind comments about the photo. The photographer, Nick Berard in Madison WI really is amazingly skilled, and wonderful to work with. I love the photo of me and Willie because he’s looking his most handsome self and I am in the context that makes me happiest… in an old comfy work shirt in the barn.

My husband gave me a great kevlar glove for xmas after I sliced my finger chopping bell peppers for the second time (local kitchen store). It works great! I love the photos – pure joy on everyone’s face.

These are fantastic photos. The lighting in the portrait one is beautiful, but I imagine you already noticed that.
I’d love to come up and shoot some myself since photography and dogs are my two favorite things in the world and you, Will and Lassie seem like you would be a blast to spend an hour with. Happy dogs captured for eternity are the best. Happy wet dogs are even better.
